The location of Il Falchetto is perfect for anyone wishing to combine a countryside relaxing holiday with visiting the wonderful towns and villages of Umbria and Southern Tuscany. Situated in the rolling hills just a few kilometres from the world famous home town of St Francis Il Falchetto provides very comfortable accommodation and great grounds.

This year the owners of the hotel Santa Maria degli Ancillotti have completed restoration work on a farmhouse close to the hotel – 400m away. They have used their many years of experience to ensure that hotel comfort has been transferred to these self catering apartments. For example all bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The two bedroom apartments have one with a shower and one with bathtub. The one bedroom apartments have showers.

Ground floor

Olmo sleeps 2
Entry is into the living room / kitchen. Double bedroom and en suite bathroom. This apartment is suitable for a person in a wheelchair.

Quercia sleeps 2
Entry is into the living room / kitchen. There are large double French windows which give an excellent view from the living room area. Double bedroom and en suite bathroom.

Faggio sleeps 4
Entry is into the living room. The kitchen is off the living room and has views across the valley. To the rear of the house are the two bedroom. The main bedroom has walk in wardrobe and en suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has  en suite bathroom with bathtub.

First floor

Ulivo sleeps 4
Entry is into the living room/kitchen. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub.

Ginestra sleeps 4
Entry is into the living room. The kitchen is off the living room and has views across the valley. To the rear of the house are the two bedroom. The main bedroom has walk in wardrobe and en suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has  en suite bathroom with bathtub.

All kitchens have hobs, oven and fridge freezer. All apartments have satellite TV (basic channels) and DVD player.

There is a communal dining room which has a large dining table and kitchen. There is also the communal washing machine in this area. No extra cost for washing. The final part of the house is a small reception where the owners will be pleased to pass on their wisdom and tips on the surrounding area.

Considerable care has been taken to ensure that the grounds of Il Falchetto are of the highest quality. The pool, which is approximately 30 metres away from the main house, makes the most of the views and is surrounded by lush lawns. Each apartment has its own gazebo at the pool and outdoor dining table at the front of the house.

The nearest villages are at the end of the country lane which leads to Il Falchetto – approximately 4kms away. Here you can find local shops and pizzeria. Assisi is just a short drive away and Perugia will certainly be on your list of places to visit.

We feel that Il Falchetto offers good quality accommodation and facilities in the lovely setting and a great location from where to explore Umbria and its many hidden treasures.
