This small gem of a B&B is tucked down an unassuming back street in the centre of Palermo. Il Giardino di Ballaro is the perfect location to spend a few days exploring this fascinating city. The main sites are within easy walking distance and if you want to go further afield you can easily arrange car hire or take a local bus.
Once through the doors, you are welcomed into a spacious hall where there is a reception desk. The hall leads through to a large open lounge area where you can enjoy planning your days out over a glass of wine or cup of coffee. There is a small breakfast room and a communal kitchen where you are welcome to prepare yourself a light supper or lunch.
All the rooms are different and have been furnished in an elegant and contemporary style with a great mix of antique and modern furniture. The icing on the cake for us is the large terrace at the rear of the property where you can find shade to rest during lunch time or simply to take an hour with a book to escape the frenetic city life.
This little oasis in the heart of the bustling city of Palermo is a real treat and the perfect place to return to after some serious sight-seeing.

We loved this hotel. The staff welcomed us warmly after our rather challenging journey and the cool and calm environment was just what we needed. They gave us a great recommendation for a good place to feed our children in early evening and the breakfast was one of the best we've ever had – our daughters loved the sorbet for breakfast – they couldn't believe their eyes.

It’s rare these days that we get to experience genuine warmth from hoteliers but at Il Giardino di Ballaro we were one big Sicilian family.
