Simply the drive down the winding entrance road to the hotel amidst the beautiful greenery, rocks and ever-flowering plants makes this hotel special. The hotel itself is situated in front of two sandy coves along a wonderful stretch of coastline and once you have arrived, you will find it difficult to leave this romantic haven! You may sunbathe either on the beach or on one of the wooden decks that are dotted around the pool area and along the rugged coast – many of which offer shade from the mid-day heat.
The beautiful ‘Wellness Centre’ has been carefully designed with multi-functional thalassotherapy pools, several private treatment cabins offering massage and beauty therapies and a turkish bath. A list of services will be found in your room so you may book and pay locally for any treatments that you may wish to experience. For the golfers amongst you, a brand new practice course and pitch and putt green have also been added, so there is really no excuse for too much sitting around with so much on tap!
The restaurants at Hotel Capo d'Orso offer a great selection of high
standard cuisine in wondeful settings – Il
Paguro has a splendid
seaview terrace and Gli Olivastri* has the superb advantage of being
situated on a terrace amidst wild olive trees – who could ask
for more? Well, actually, talking of more, we have to mention the harpist
who gently plucks the strings whilst you take breakfast on the open
terrace (June to September) – a great way to start the day.
(*Gli Olivastri Restaurant opens at the discretion of the management
and depends upon the weather.)
The bedrooms, set out on 2 storeys, have been recently refurbished and are extremely comfortable with balcony or terrace, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, minibar and shower room with hairdrier. The hotel is very proud of its 22 prestigious suites – executive and cardinal – which are situated close to the ‘Wellness Centre’ with luxury and space being the key words.
We highly recommend this hotel to all of you who have not experienced
a holiday here and we welcome back any guests that would like to repeat
another restful and relaxing stay at the Capo d’Orso.
