Positioned in the hills outside Cortona, this 2 bedroom private villa has much to offer. The owners have sympathetically restored this house, keeping it perfectly in tune with the rural setting.

Nestling in one of the few remaining untouched valleys close to Cortona, Casa Toro has a large well kept garden and wonderful terrace, with views over the valley below. Access is by a one kilometre white road.

Entry is into the kitchen which is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, washing machine, hobs and fridge / freezer. From here there is an open plan dining / living room with dining table and comfortable sofa. An open wooden staircase leads to the first floor. From a small landing there are three doors, to the left – a simple bathroom with bath and shower, in front – a lovely double bedroom which has access to external steps, to the right – a second spacious double bedroom. In this room there is a tight spiral staircase up to a small open bedroom (suitable for a child, not under 8 years old). Both bedrooms have great views over the green valley below.

Most of your meals will be taken on the terrace in front of the house which has a lovely table and chairs. The lawn leads down from the house to the pool. Behind the house there are further lawns (and even an old ruined house).

Casa Toro has rustic charm and is a comfortable retreat for two couples, or a small family, looking for peace and quiet, and wanting to explore Cortona and the surrounding villages – such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena and Perugia.
