Casa Sofia is that rare holiday home – for couples with a private pool. Recently restored to a high standard, this stone built home offers everything a couple could wish for. The house is located in a rural setting, only a short walk from the charming village of Abbadia Isola where there is a restaurant and wine bar. Add to this some great walks on your doorstep and many of the main sights within a short drive and you’ve got a perfect holiday home.  The medieval walled town of Monteriggioni is only 2kms away and can be seen from your garden. Siena can be reached in 20 minutes and Florence in 30 minutes.

Located about 150m off a country road Casa Sofia has been restored to a high level with lovely outdoor spaces. Upon arrival at the house there is a covered porch where table and chairs provide one of the outdoor dining areas. Upon entry there is a comfortable living room with dining table. The living room has plasma screen Sat TV (basic news channels), DVD player, CD player and video player. From here two steps lead to the well equipped kitchen, complete with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and hobs. To the rear of the house there is a utility room where there is a washing machine.

Also from the living room there is corridor leading to the double bedroom and bathroom with shower. From the dining room stairs lead to a second sitting area which has a sofa bed and would be ideal for a third person, it is open onto the living area below. On the first floor there is the second bathroom with bathtub.

Positioned about 20m from the house is the lovely pool, surrounded by grass. Here there is a second outdoor dining space with a barbecue.

Please note that the charming owner of Casa Sofia has her office at the rear of the house and at times is present, however she does not use any of the property apart from the driveway and her office. Of course she is on hand should you require any information or assistance.

Casa Sofia is in an ideal location to explore this wonderful area. By foot one can easily reach the village of Abbadia Isola where there is an excellent restaurant and wine bar. Also there are several walks from the house. By car the fascinating and beautiful village of Monteriggioni is only a couple of minutes away (you can also reach it on foot if you’re feeling energetic). Florence, Siena and the Chianti region are all within 30 minutes drive. The combination of stylish interiors, lovely garden and wonderful location makes Casa Sofia ideal for those of you looking to relax and explore the heart of Tuscany.
