This original villa oozes character being one of the first properties to be built just above Rafael's beautiful piazza on the sea. Completely independent, this round, white-washed summer home is very popular with our guests, and when you're sitting on the terrace with the turquoise sea below, gazing at the beautiful Maddalena archipelago across the bay, you will understand exactly why.
The house is traditionally and simply furnished. The original Cerasarda tiles dating back to the 60s have been preserved throughout and will be for as long as possible as they are now very desirable and impossible to buy. A steep driveway leads down to the front door which opens into a cool and spacious lounge/dining area with a separate kitchen where you will find a fridge-freezer, gas oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine.
The two bedrooms, one double and one twin, are situated at either side of the lounge, allowing privacy for family and friends, and both have their own bathrooms (one with bath and one with shower). Again simply furnished, the sleeping accommodation is pretty and comfortable and when you open the shutters in the early morning you will be struck by the stunning views across the bay.
The terrace is accessed from the lounge and surrounded by shady pine trees making it the perfect place to dine alfresco or just sit on a sun-lounger with a glass of something cool and watch the world (and endless procession of stunning yachts) glide by on the sea in front of you. At the side of the property, there are some steps that lead directly down to the sea-level piazza and beach making it easy to take a stroll on the sand or a dip in the sea at any time of day.
Casa Gallo is a very popular villa and we strongly recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.

It is a fabulous little villa. We absolutely loved it and could easily have stayed for a month... absolutely superb for a quiet, peaceful holiday within easy drive of lots of little towns and beaches. 2 mins walk to 2 little beaches with crystal clear sea (in June anyway) but car essential - the view is breath taking and certainly has the wow factor. Sarah was just lovely - we felt we were able to ask for help with anything if we'd needed to. Would absolutely use Essential Italy and recommend to anyone.

The house is so beautiful and in such an amazing location. The view from every window was tear jerking (enhanced by copious quantities of wonderful Sardinian wine of course!). We absolutely loved Casa Gallo, it exceeded all our (pretty high) expectations. The views are so stunning and the house so beautifully designed. Porto Rafael is charming and we loved being able to stroll easily to two such lovely beaches. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We have vowed to return.

Casa Gallo is in a perfect location with beautiful views. Sarah and Miriam were most helpful and lovely. This is the 4th time we have booked through Essential Italy, we have stayed in Tuscany, Umbria, Sicilly and Sardinia. It is more expensive than booking independently but in our opinion is worth every penny for the personal care and attention.
