If you are seeking the full ‘Tuscan experience’ look no further than Borgo Barbazzano. After 5 years of careful restoration work the doors of Borgo Barbazzano are now open to guests. For groups of friends and family wanting to celebrate or simply holiday in style this is surely the ideal location. Immersed in the hills between Arezzo and Florence, the views across the Arno valley are wonderful. All rooms have been carefully decorated and the whole house feels like a real home-from-home.

Upon entry into the villa there is a reception room, to the left there are two kitchens – equipped to the highest level, everything one could wish for is here. From a huge fridge / freezer, to pasta maker, to ultra fast dishwasher, cooking in this environment will be heaven even for the most diehard non-chefs. From the kitchen, steps lead to the first of two dining rooms – this one has large French windows which lead onto a patio complete with large table for al-fresco dining. There is also a sofa and TV, and it would make an ideal play room for children. To the other side of the reception is a large formal living room with doors out onto the gardens. Steps lead down into the more formal dining room – complete with huge mahogany table and third kitchen for preparing light lunches and breakfast. A further couple of steps lead to the only bedroom on the ground floor. This double bedroom has en-suite bathroom with shower, and doors lead onto a sheltered patio. The ground floor is completed by a study.

First floor

Internal stairs lead to the first floor where there are two bedrooms (one twin / double and one double), which share a bathroom with a bath and further WC. At the end of the corridor there is a wonderful large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath. This bedroom is large and has the possibility to have a third single bed.

Second floor

Large reception room with open fireplace from where two bedrooms (both doubles, one with en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, the other uses a bathroom located across the reception room. Five steps lead down into the music room, complete with organ (a house warming present from the owners parents)! Off this room there is one twin room with en-suite bathroom, and a large double with en-suite. Both these bathrooms have showers (with tiles from Sicily). The double bedroom has access to external steps which lead down to the garden.

Throughout the house great care has been taken to use original materials, and all furniture has been selected considering the style and feel of the house. All fabrics and linen are of the highest quality.

Despite the extensive restoration work the gardens are well established and feel as thought have been here for years. Outside the front door is a pizza oven, where one can have pizza lessons, and a large gazebo which enjoys wonderful views over the Arno valley. A large lawn links the house with the fabulous pool. Completely fenced in, the pool is situated here to make the most of the view (pool is approximately 50 metres from the house). There is an excellent children’s pool (4 x 5m and 80cm deep), which is linked to the main pool by a small waterfall. There is a pool house with changing room, bathroom, and fridge. There is a large table for al-fresco dining.

To compliment this fabulous house, there is the services of a live-in butler, Ottavio. He is on hand to help with anything, everything, or nothing. He is an excellent cook and will prepare your welcome meal and any further meals you may wish. He lives at the top of the house and we believe will be a real bonus to your holiday experience – saving time and ensuring you get the most out of the house and surrounding area.
