The drive to the hotel takes you through wild and rustic countryside with its cork and holm oak trees – arriving at Aldiola is like reaching a little oasis with its carefully kept gardens and green lawns. The welcome will be a warm one as the hotel is family run and different relatives will be popping up during your stay to ensure that you have everything you need to make it memorable.

The reception, bar and restaurant are located in the main bulding with the stunning swimming pool set just in front and surrounded by the lawns – there are the most magnificent views across the lake to be enjoyed whether you are reading your book under the shade of an umbrella, sipping a glass of local white wine or sampling some tasty fare in the restaurant. If you think the view is good on arrival, just wait to see one of the sunsets…

The rooms are scattered around the pool area in groups of two – privacy, style and comfort being the most important elements of all. Traditional and simple furnishings have been used and all the rooms are equipped with satellite television, safe, air conditioning/heating and minibar.

Even though the bed & breakfast deal gives you the chance to sample some of the restaurants in the area, you are strongly advised to try eating at the restaurant in the hotel where you will get a good choice of authentic Sardinian food along with a great selection of wines that are made, literally, in the same area as the hotel. Just imagine the sun setting over the lake, a fabulous plate of pasta, a glass of fruity red wine plus no drive home – who could ask for more?

With a selection of local towns, archeological sites and beaches all within a 30 minute drive, this has to be one of the best locations to stay at in the northern part of the island – we can only recommend that you give it a go!
